The City of Dallas is asking Art News DFW to help us build a network map of cultural organizations in Dallas. Through this process we will identify existing and potential connections between individuals, organizations and the community. It is hoped that understanding and leveraging these connections will provide a conduit to create and strengthen grassroots community engagement to spur lasting revitalization. Examples in Dallas, such as the Design District, the Cedars, and north Oak Cliff, have shown that creativity can serve as a change agent for economic revitalization within a community. The goal of this project is to tap into this economic development resource by mapping the creative community within Dallas and increasing its connectedness.
We would appreciate your organization distributing this survey link to your members. Through your help, we can start building a picture of Dallas’ creative economy. At the end of this project we will produce an online map and document for the public that will locate and identify the interconnections between organizations and individuals that contribute to the creative economy.
